Pre-CT sim education: This may be a few days before the appointment or on the same day as the appointment. The scheduling of this is dependent on the area that is to receive treatment.
Pre-treatment education: This is scheduled for the same day as the first treatment and includes information about the treatment process and side effect prevention and management.
The cancer centre offers a monthly nutrition class for patients undergoing radiation therapy. This class is meant for patients who will only be receiving radiation treatment. You can ask your radiation primary nurse or therapist about how to sign up for this class.
