The Credit Valley Hospital elects new Board Chair

June 28, 2011


MISSISSAUGA (June 28, 2011) — The Credit Valley Hospital’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Neil Skelding has been elected as the new Board Chair. Mr. Skelding, President and CEO, RBC Insurance, has been a member of the Board since 2009, serving most recently as treasurer and chair of the Resources Committee.

As President and CEO of RBC Insurance, Mr. Skelding has global responsibility for RBC’s insurance businesses, including life and health, home and auto and travel insurance as well as reinsurance. In addition to his work on The Credit Valley Hospital’s Board, Mr. Skelding is also on the Principal’s Advisory Council for the University of Toronto (Mississauga Campus), is a member of the Pension Committee at McMaster University and serves on McMaster’s Campaign Cabinet. In 2009 he was awarded the Wayne C. Fox Distinguished Alumni Award from McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. He is also a past member of the Board of Governors of North York General Hospital.
