In 1997, the Trillium – Mississauga was one of the first community hospitals in Canada to use an MRI system – and that original unit needs to be replaced. In 2010, inspired by the increasing need for advanced diagnostic imaging services, local supporters in the community joined forces with the hospital and Trillium Health Centre Foundation to support the $5 million project to bring a new MRI machine to the hospital. Thanks to more than 6,000 gifts from the community members and hospital staff who believed in the project, the new MRI is now a reality.
Trillium Health Centre Foundation inspires the community to invest in essential priorities at Trillium Health Centre’s Mississauga and West Toronto sites. Giving 110%, the largest campaign in Trillium Health Centre Foundation history, is inspired by hospital staff, physicians donors and volunteers who go above and beyond to provide quality health care. Community support will help the Foundation raise its goal of $110 million for patient care spaces, equipment, technology, research and education at Trillium.
